The story of the fall and Noah

(Verse 1 – The Multiplied Earth & The Crossing of Boundaries)
When men began to multiply across the open face
Of a world that was expanding in the wilderness of space
The sons of God looked down upon the daughters born of dust
And saw that they were beautiful, and surrendered unto lust
They took themselves wives from whichever ones they chose
And from that unholy union, an ancient terror rose
The Nephilim walked heavy on the earth in days of old
The mighty men of renown, of whom the stories told
The Lord said, "My Spirit shall not strive with man for long
His days shall be a hundred twenty years to end his song"

(Verse 2 – The Grief of the Creator)
The Lord looked down from heaven and He saw the wickedness
How every single thought of man was bent on evilness
The earth was filled with violence, the heart was cold as stone
Every imagination turned away from Him alone
And it grieved the Maker’s heart that He had ever fashioned man
It pained Him in His spirit as He looked across the land
He said, "I will wipe away the life that I have made
From the beast upon the mountain to the birds within the shade
I will blot them from the face of all the earth beneath the sky"
And the silence of the heavens answered back the mournful cry

(Chorus)
Yet Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord
Standing in the shadow of the coming sword
A righteous man walking in a world turned black
Blameless in his generation, never looking back
When the darkness covers over every mountain peak and shore
Grace finds a vessel at the open door

(Verse 3 – The Covenant & The Judgment Spoken)
Now these are the generations of the house of Noah’s name
He walked in step with God through the corruption and the shame
Three sons were born unto his house—Shem, Ham, and Japheth stood
While all creation rotted in the absence of the good
God said to Noah, "The end of all flesh has come to Me
For the earth is filled with violence as far as eye can see
Behold, I will destroy them with the land on which they tread
I will bring a flood of waters for the living and the dead
Everything beneath the sky with breath of life shall die
But with you I will establish my covenant on high"

(Verse 4 – The Blueprint & The Cypress Wood)
"Make yourself an ark out of gopher wood and pine
Build it strong with rooms inside according to design
Coat it thick with pitch within, and pitch upon the shell
To keep the heavy waters out where dying shadows dwell
Three hundred cubits long shall be the length of its design
Fifty cubits wide to ride across the ocean line
Thirty cubits high, with a window built above
To let in the morning light and welcome in the dove
Set a door into the side, make three decks down below
Lower, second, third, to hold the life that goes"

(Verse 5 – Gathering the Life & Complete Obedience)
"You shall come into the ark, your sons and wife as well
And your sons' wives beside you where the living seed will dwell
Of every living creature, of all flesh bring two by two
Male and female of their kind to keep alive with you
Of the birds and of the beasts and every creeping thing that crawls
They will come to you for safety when the first rain falls
Store up every kind of food that men and beasts can eat
Gather it inside the hull to make the work complete"
And Noah raised his hammer as the hammer hit the wood
Doing all that God commanded, standing where he should

(Bridge)
Strike the cypress! Lay the beam!
Pitch the seams against the stream!
In a world that ridicules the sky
Noah builds as the days go by
Faith is a hammer in a dry, dry land
Holding to a promise that he holds in his hand

(Outro)
Grace in the eyes of the Lord
Standing on the promise of His word
The wood is laid, the pitch is dark
The door is open on the ark
Noah did all...
According to all that God commanded
He did so.
